Marketing automations allow you to quickly define sale and email preferences for your galleries. Automations can be applied to your individual galleries when the galleries are created, or through the gallery settings afterwards.
Individual sales and coupon codes can be created outside the automations through the Sales & Coupons page, and they can be used in parallel to your Marketing Automations. For example, holiday sales and individual client credit can be created through the Sales & Coupons page.

Getting Started
- From the main menu click on Marketing » Marketing Automation.
- Click the blue colored Begin Here button.
- Choose from one of the listed templates.
Early Bird Automation
Emails will be sent and discounts will be given to encourage purchases during the first x days of a gallery's lifecycle.
- Give your automation a name and add notes if you wish to.
- Add a Sale Title if desired.

This title is displayed above the sale description within your gallery when any of the sales included in this automation are taking place. If no title is provided, "Sale!" will be used as the title in its place.
A couple of common sale titles include "Custom Appreciation Sale", "Friends & Family Discount", "Limited Time Sale", "Print Sale", or simply "Sale!"

- Set the Discount Options
Discounts automatically apply to Single Image Purchase Items, which are also referred to as "Prints+." To give all products, excluding Gift Certificates, the discount, select the "All Items" option.
- Choose which Scheduled Emails you want to send. You can click the slider(s) under the email you want to send and also click on the box for that email to edit it.
The emails for the early bird sales are sent each morning according to the following schedule:
*7 days remaining, including the sending day.
*3 days remaining, including the sending day.
*2 days remaining, including the sending day.
*Final Day - Sent on the final day of the sale.
Early Bird + Gallery Expiration Automation
Emails will be sent and discounts will be given to encourage purchases at both the beginning and ending of a gallery's lifecycle.
The emails for the gallery expiration sale are sent each morning according to the following schedule:
- Sale Start - Sent the first day of the sale.
- 3 days remaining, including the sending day.
- 2 days remaining, including the sending day.
- Final Day - Sent on the final day of the sale.
Early Bird + Gallery Expiration + Cart Reminders
Emails will be sent and discounts will be given to encourage purchases at both the beginning and ending of a gallery's lifecycle. Additionally, reminder emails will be sent when non-purchased items are left in a shopping cart.
The abandoned cart reminder emails are sent as follows:
- 1 Day - Sent 1 day after the last gallery visit.
- 2 Days - Sent 2 days after the last gallery visit.
- 4 Days - Sent 4 days after the last gallery visit.
Note: An "abandoned cart" is a non-empty shopping cart that hasn't been viewed or updated within the specified number of days.
Early Bird + Gallery Expiration + Cart Reminders + Bounce-Back
Emails will be sent and discounts will be given to encourage purchases at both the beginning and ending of a gallery's lifecycle. Additionally, reminder emails will be sent when non-purchased items are left in a shopping cart and time-sensitive bounce-back discounts will be created to encourage additional orders.
Build from Scratch
Define your own time frames, your own email reminder preferences and your own bounce-back discount settings.
Other Gallery Emails
Stay on the forefront of your client's mind by sending additional emails that aren't specifically related to sales.
Examples: Highlight specific products, invite your clients to purchase gallery extensions, book a photo session, refer their friends, tell your clients thank you for their order, ask them for a review, etc.
Note: Emails that are sent out after purchases are for storefront orders only, manually entered orders will not receive these emails.
Adding your Automations to your Galleries and Gallery Types
To add your automations to a single gallery please follow these steps:
- From the main menu click on Photos » Galleries.
- Locate your gallery and click on the name to edit the settings.
- Scroll to the Shopping Cart section.
- In the Marketing Automations option click the drop down box and choose your automation.
- Click Save.
* Note: Marketing Automations will entirely replace "Discount Days Sales" in a future update.
To add your automations to a Gallery Type please follow these steps:
- From the main menu click on Photos » Gallery Types.
- Click on the name of one of your gallery types to edit the settings.
- Scroll down to the Shopping Cart section.
- In the Marketing Automations option click the drop down box and choose your automation.
- Click Save.
This process will add this marketing automation to all galleries that are created from this time forward within this gallery type. If you wish to apply an automation to an already created gallery you can follow the steps above for adding it to a single gallery.
