If you would like to collect email addresses from your gallery visitors before the gallery is ready to be viewed, you can activate Subscribe Mode. This will allow your clients to enter their email addresses, and you can later send them an invitation when the gallery is ready to be viewed.
How do I set this up?
As you create a new gallery you will have the option to turn on the Subscribe Mode with some different options. Here's how to do that:
- On the Photos > Galleries page click Create New Gallery at the top.
- Add your information for that gallery, and set Activate to No - Manually Activate Later or No - Schedule a Future Activation Date.
- Set the Subscribe Mode to one of the following options:

Apply the Gallery Type Default Setting
This will apply the Subscribe Mode setting you have chosen within the selected Gallery Type's preferences. See more information about this, below. -
Disable Subscribe Mode
This will turn off the Subscribe Mode for the gallery, and no one will be able to enter the gallery until it's been activated. -
Enable Subscribe Mode (Until Gallery Activation).
When a gallery is in Subscribe Mode, your clients will be directed to a subscription page to provide their email addresses. When the gallery is activated, subscribe mode is automatically disabled and you can send invitation emails to the collected email addresses. -
Enable Multi-Subscribe Mode (Until Gallery Activation)
If "Multi-Subscribe Mode" is enabled, the subscription page will automatically refresh a few seconds after each email address is submitted, allowing multiple people to subscribe one after another. (This is a fantastic option for large events where there can be a shared device, such as an iPad or laptop, on display for people to sign up to receive the gallery notices.)

Apply the Gallery Type Default Setting
- Once you have selected a setting there, you can continue on with creating your gallery and then click Save.
You may also activate and edit the Subscribe Mode setting through the gallery preferences page after it has been created.
- Click on Photos > Galleries, then click on the name of your gallery to edit its settings.
- Scroll to the Access section and set Status to Not Currently Active or Schedule for a Future Date.
- Choose from one of the Subscribe Mode options, details for each are listed above.
- Click Save.
If you would like to save defaults to your Gallery Types, please follow these steps:
- From the main menu click on Photos > Gallery Types, then click on the name of one of your gallery types.
- Scroll to the Access section and set the Subscribe Mode to either Enabled Until Gallery Activation or Not Enabled.
- If you would like to edit the text for the Subscribe page, you can do that in each of the following sections:

Subscribe: Title
This value will be displayed as the main title on the sign-up page. The default value for this setting is "Register for this Gallery". (Note: Try to keep the title fairly short, as it will be displayed in a large font at the top of the page.) -
Subscribe: Message
This value will be displayed underneath the title on the sign-up page. The default value for this setting is "Provide your email address to be notified when the photos from this event have been posted." -
Subscribe: Thanks
This message will be displayed to your clients after they have provided their email address and subscribed to the gallery. The default value for this setting is "Your email address has been received."

Please Note:
Galleries that WILL display in the client gallery list on your storefront are as follows:
Galleries that (a) have an active status + (b) have the "Show on Homepage" option enabled.
Galleries that (a) do NOT have an active status + (b) have the "Show on Homepage" option enabled + (c) have the standard Subscribe Mode enabled.
Galleries that will NOT display in the gallery list, but are accessible through their links:
Galleries that (a) have an active status + (b) have the "Show on Homepage" option is DISABLED. (No change from current.)
Galleries that (a) do NOT have an active status + (b) have Multi-Subscribe Mode enabled.
Galleries that will not be available through the homepage or via their links:
Galleries that (a) are not set to be displayed + (b) do not have any Subscribe Mode enabled.
What happens now?
When your client views a gallery that has Subscribe Mode enabled, they will see an email entry box with prompts to enter their address and Submit.
Once they have entered their email address they will see a Thank You screen and have the option to go Back To Gallery List (Your Storefront Homepage).
If a gallery has Multi-Subscribe Mode enabled, they will also see the same email entry box. Once they enter their address they will see the Thank You screen and then the page will return to the email entry screen allowing someone else to enter another email address. This is helpful if you are collecting multiple email addresses at an event or if you know your clients will want to be notified on multiple addresses.
On the admin side, the email address(es) will be collected and displayed in the Visitors > Manage Visitor Emails section of the gallery. Once your gallery is ready to be viewed, you can send an invitation email to all of the collected email addresses.
You will also be able to see which of your galleries has the Subscribe Mode enabled by going to Photos > Galleries, and viewing the icons displayed next to the galleries. The icon used to represent galleries that are in Subscribe Mode are light green, with a person and a plus sign.
