Your clients' selected favorites can be viewed at any time through your administrative account. Additionally, if you'd like to give your clients the option of sending their list to you once they've finished making their selection, that option can be enabled in association with Favorite Labels. Here's how that works:
First Things First
Before anything else, please make sure that the Enable Favorite List Submissions setting is enabled. This setting is generally ON by default, but you can turn it off (or on, if it is already off) through the following steps:
- From the main menu click on Photos > Preferences.
- Click on the Advanced button in the upper right corner.
- Scroll to the Galleries section and check the Enable Favorite List Submissions option if you want it on, uncheck if you want it off.
- Click Save at the bottom.
After that setting has been enabled, the next step is to create one or more Favorite Label options for your client(s). A short tutorial on Favorite Labels can be viewed here: Favorite Labels
How Will My Clients See It?
Once you've set up your favorite label(s) and enabled the "Enable Favorite List Submissions" setting, your clients can start selecting their favorite images. They do this by clicking the heart icon on the images they'd like to mark as favorites, and then choosing which favorite label(s) to apply to those images.
After labeling their favorite images, your clients can proceed by clicking the Go To Favorites icon (a heart-shaped image) located in the upper-right corner of the screen. From there, they can view their list of favorites and select the option to send it to you.
At the top of the favorites screen, your clients will see a button labeled Submit List To Photographer. When they click this button, two things will happen:
- An email with their selected favorites will be sent to the email address we have on file for you.
- The favorite list will be locked*, preventing any further changes from being made by your client.
How Will I See It?
The email you receive will include your client’s name, email address, the list of selected favorites, the gallery they belong to, and the submission date. It will also display the file names of the selected images and their categories. A View Favorites button within the email will take you directly to the favorites list in your administrative area.
*Please note that the favorites list will be locked once the client sends it to you. Your client will not be able to add or remove any favorites once that is locked. If you need to unlock that list for any reason there are instructions and links at the bottom of the email that is sent to you.
